Commercial St. Fire, 11-16-2005

The three-alarm Commercial St. Fire started in the early morning of November 16, 2005, at the Echos Bistro and Cellars restaurant. It spread to the Haus Lichtenstein building, a three-story retail and residential complex. Six apartments on the upper two floors were evacuated.

The restaurant was destroyed. The Haus Lichtenstein building suffered extensive damage to the uppper residential floor, and there was smoke and water damage to the other floors. There were no injuries.
